The Deep …

Luke 5:4-11…

When he had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, ” Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.”

But Simon answered and said to Him, ” Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at your word I will let down the net.” And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking.

There are many who call themselves by messiah’s name, but most will only in the shallow Waters. They stay by the shore, by that which is familiar and comfortable. They never fully leave the old ways, the old life. So they only know the shallow of waters of God. Others who are called by his name, never fully launch out, they never enter the Deep.

They believe, but with a shallow faith. They read the scriptures, but only see the surface, the shallow of the word. They pray, but only in the shallow of Prayer.

They never enter the Deep of it. And they know of God’s love, but they never enter the Deep of his love. And so they never know the Deep of His blessings.

If we want the blessings of God, we must leave the shallow, and launch out away from the shore, away from its distractions, away from the old and the familiar, and into the deep, into the Deep Waters of Faith, the Deep Waters of his presence, the Deep of his word, and the Deep of worship, the Deep of his Joy, the Deep of his Spirit, and the Deep of his heart,”That’s where your blessings are waiting to be found.”

“Miracles so big, that your net will break, but only when you venture into the deep.”

Comments: Human nature is to like being comfortable. As Americans, generally speaking we live ” The Good Life.”

And God wants us to live the good life. The best life, the true life, and the eternal life, is found in Him, for he is the author of all life.

For further study look at Genesis 49:25 and 1 Corinthians 2:10-13.

This is a study with the permission and encouragement of Jonathan Cahn my comments also.
