Romans 8:18- 39

Study focus: Romans 8:18-22.

From Suffering to Glory

For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it in Hope; because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the Glorious Liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groans and Labor’s with birth pangs together until now.

Comments on verse 22: ‘ For we know that the whole creation groans and Labor’s with birth pangs together until now’. We have to ask ourselves why would creation be groaning? Even the totality of creation knows that it’s in a fallen state, the victim of sin. So what about the birth pangs? Birth pangs of what? Birth pangs of the end of this age, the coming Wars, this world’s confusion led by the head Rebel, Satan. Birth pangs lead to the birthing of something; the coming millennium, the thousand year reign of Christ from the New Jerusalem.

RECOMMEND reading Romans 8 in its entirety…. it’s kind of, sort of the Gospel in a nutshell, it is eschatological in that it addresses to a certain extent, end time events. Another thing that it expounds on is the ‘THE LAW OF SIN AND DEATH AND THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE.

With ears to hear and eyes to see, you can look and listen to most people, and figure out which law they are aware of, and which one they’re under…. to me the most interesting subjects are our elected officials, Senators Congressmen, Presidents, all those in the Judicial system…DOJ…FBI…etc.
