Psalm 2 vs 1-6
The Messiah’s Triumph and Kingdom.
Why do the nation’s rage, and the people plot a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against the Lord and against his anointed, saying, “Let us break their bonds in pieces and cast away their cords from us”.
HE WHO SITS IN HEAVEN SHALL LAUGH; The Lord shall hold them in derision. Then he shall speak to them in His wrath, and distress them in His deep displeasure; Yet I have set My King on My holy hill of Zion.
Comments: Seems God can laugh, I think the context and meaning in modern day language might go something like this from God: “Are you people kidding me? With one Word from me, I could scatter you like mice”…. God has power that we could never understand, He is more wonderful than we can imagine, good for us that he is loving, compassionate and long suffering. However, the period of grace will eventually come to an end…. once the body of Christ is completed.
