We’ve all read the scripture that I’m going to delve into so many times, that maybe it has become cliche, and we have forgotten the importance ‘that it is God’s Word’ and He means what He says….
Let’s look at Deuteronomy 28:15,16…. and on….
But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all His commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee and overtake thee: Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field. Cursed shall be thy basket and thy store….[Authorized version of 1611]
One of the big subjects ‘of the day’ or the season that we currently living in, with all of its trouble… trouble that is seen most everywhere in the world… is the subject of ‘America’s role in End Time Events’…. now this is when it becomes difficult for the American mind to accept…. and remember what I’m going to say is not some original thought of mine, it’s based on scripture and it’s based on what is going on around us right now, we need to wake up…
So using Ezekiel 37 38 and 39 as a reference…. we again ask, ‘where is America?’… we see Israel mentioned, Turkey, Russia, Iran Libya, others…
We have to remember that Israel and America are interconnected… we have supported and still support Israel, and God looks favorably upon us because of that, but we have a ‘national sin problem’ and we have personal sins to overcome… just like every nation… and people.
America is in a “bad spiritual place” generally speaking… why you might ask?…. the answer is simple…WE HAVE FORGOTTEN GOD AND HIS WORD…. of course this doesn’t mean everywhere and everyone…. however Church attendance is down…. the number of people who are actually believers is down… most everything related to God is basically deemed ‘unacceptable and old-fashioned’ to a lot of people, and not relevant for today… secular humanism is our Rule and Guide..(again not in all corners, but it is rampant) in some places God’s word is so watered down that it’s almost unrecognizable… we live in a feel-good instant gratification society…
God is trying to reach us, He’s been giving us warnings… look at all the viruses that we’ve had in our modern days…. to mention a few… AIDS…SARS… many others and the latest… the Coronavirus… some other signs that need to be observed are our headlong rush to a Cashless Society…. the ‘chipping’ of people… where every transaction we make can be tracked… and this is just the beginning of the control that would come with socialism, communism, and the globalization of our planet and people… look at the rise of ‘Digital Currency’…. signs everywhere beyond the usual earthquakes and the like.
Let’s take a closer look at the madness that we have brought upon ourselves basically….go
to Deuteronomy 28 beginning with verse 19…. Cursed shall you be when you come in, and cursed shall you be when you go out.
The Lord will send on you cursing, confusion, and rebuke, in all that you set your hand to do, until you are destroyed and until you perish quickly, ‘because of the wickedness of your doings in which you have forsaken Me’.
The Lord will make the plague cling to you until he has consumed you from the land which you are going to possess. The Lord will strike you with the consumption, with fever, with inflammation, with severe burning fever, with the sword, with scorching, and with mildew; and they shall pursue you until you perish. And your heavens which are over you shall be bronze, and the earth which is under you shall be iron. The Lord will change the rain of your land to powder and dust, from heaven it shall come down on you until you are destroyed….[ continue reading there’s more]… sounds familiar huh?
Interesting note as I wrap up… Israel is dead center of the earth’s land mass… tiny little strip of land no bigger than Connecticut… yet as goes Israel goes the world…
So what about America?… it’s really quite simple, we need National and Personal repentance… we need to turn from our Wicked Ways and turn back to God… we need Revival, we need to pray for Revival…. if we don’t, God will not hesitate to judge us and it will be severe… God is not “winking” about our ongoing and current falling away from Him… we as a people and a nation need to be on our knees before God…it’s the only way..
