Let’s see how shall I begin?… This is a post, a message, a letter if you will, to all, who in these troubled times, maybe searching for truth and to know the One True God …
I don’t have all the answers, no human being does … If someone claims that they do, stay away from them. What I do have is, I can share with you what I have learned since accepting the Lord in the Spring of 1981 …
OK … buckle up your seatbelts … first things first … You can read every book ever written, you can search with your ‘natural’ mind until you are blue in the face, die, and are buried in the ground … But unless the Holy Spirit reveals to you who Jesus Christ is … There is no way you can know Him … Scripture says that God’s sheep hear His voice … Also there has to be a genuine sincerity in your search, God says to seek and you shall find … Recommended prayer before you begin your search: Dear God … If You are who Your Word says You are, and who You say you are, please reveal Yourself to me, so that I can know You beyond the shadow of a doubt …
Once God has revealed Himself to you and the truth about Jesus, you will know that you know … and nothing or no one will be able to take it from you … Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.
Also, in your search you will find that Satan has a counterfeit for everything that God stands for… Coming at you in the form of religion … And many other forms of deception … You will learn that God comes with ‘The Spirit Of Life’… And Satan comes with ‘the spirit of death.’
So, to the person trying to get out of the woods … from experience here is ‘some’ of what I would recommend … read JOHN CHAPTER 1 … in its entirety.
READ …THE SCREWTAPE LETTERS BY C.S. LEWIS … This book will provide the most outstanding way of understanding how the devil attacks human beings … Check out ‘The Chronicles of Narnia’ later on in your walk … Also by C.S. Lewis …
READ THE PILGRIMS PROGRESS…BY JOHN BUNYAN… can be a bit of a challenge as there is Old English, but if you can make it through the book it will be a real blessing, one of the best books I’ve ever read.
Having done some of this introductory reading you might be ready for some deeper water… if you feel like you are… read everything that you can by Jonathan Cahn… maybe start with HARBINGER…. then Paradigm…then THE ORACLE: THE JUBILEAN MYSTERIES UNVEILED…. if this book alone doesn’t get you out of the woods I don’t know what will, other than God’s Word.
So there you have a bit of my witness and my life experience… I’ll tell you a quick story that might motivate you… At my first prayer meeting in the spring of 1981 at Potomac Baptist Church in Sterling Virginia… (mind you I was a new Christian and I didn’t know Sugar from Shinola, other than that I had faith.)….. anyway the prayer meeting began, five or six of us at a table,as the rooms were petitioned off in the basement of the church… the leader said that we could pray out loud or pray silently… I can’t remember exactly if I prayed silently or out loud… however it felt as if oil at hit me on the top of my head, or as if a handkerchief had been dropped over me… something I had never experienced before… after a minute or so it lifted… I quickly asked others at the table if they felt the same thing I did, and they responded… yes that was the spirit and presence of God… I sat there like a deer caught in the headlights of an oncoming 18-wheeler.
Way led on to way, and day led on to day, and I quickly learned that God had given me a gift on that night…. a gift apart from the manifestation of His Spirit/ Presence… I had been given the gift of evangelism or witnessing… I have never forgotten that night… this is my witness to all of you seekers…..
