SILENCE FOR A PERFECT SETTING…

Silence… Peace… Quiet…no phones…no television… no radio… the perfect setting…the perfect stage for life to unfold… did you hear that dreamy melodious chirping of a Lone Mountain Bird?… over and over, again and again, for all in the glorious June summer of the Virginia Appalachian Trail woods to hear…. or perhaps you heard  the squirrel jumping from the large oak tree onto the roof of the house, as he rhythms and scurries to the backyard, to find the fresh peanuts I put out for him and them…wait…shhh!…. I hear two or three woodpeckers… the symphony sounding all round… and down the mountain… echoing calling all to hear….wait!… what’s that?…. as I glance out the bathroom window … to see what seems to be a 300-pound black bear sprawled out and enjoying some ears of corn… the Blue Jays, Cardinals, Robins… the Chipmunks Squirrels and Woodpeckers have all cleared out, to give the bear some time and space… I sip my coffee in anticipation of what might happen next, all in the silence of my perfect setting… I think I’ll read for a while… Sincerely, Frank Payton… visit my blog….littleraventhepoet.blog…
