Further: Is truth real in this wicked fallen world? I’ll leave it to you to decide … You might find ‘truth’ readily available and obvious, or you might find yourself needing to be more like a lawyer investigating all the evidence … I think I fall into the category of most things appearing as relatively obvious, but then again, I have responded to the call of God, which means that God accepts me “warts n’ all” … And sees me as a finished product made ‘perfect’ [ Hebrew meaning for PERFECT IS MATURE ] which comes from being “in Christ” … and makes me fit for His use by making myself available …
Recommend all to read Proverbs chapter 8 concerning WISDOM … And end up taking a close look at Chapter 8: vs 22 – 31 …
I’ll give you the opening lines of Proverbs 8: 22 – 31 ( Wisdom speaking) … The Lord brought me forth as the first of His works, before His deeds of old; I was appointed from eternity, from the beginning, before the world began. When there were no oceans, I was given birth, when no springs were abounding with water; before the mountains were settled in place, before the hills, I was given birth, before He made the earth or its fields or any of the dust of the world. I was there when he set the heavens in place when he marked out the horizon on the face of the deep … (read on yourself ) …
I realize that many are seeking after truth and as many or more simply couldn’t care less … They just want to be left alone to live their lives as best they can and hope that they can get to heaven by their ‘good’ outweighing their ‘bad’ … Don’t fall for this deception, you will be greatly disappointed … If things were that easy, then we must ask ourselves why were we given this great handbook called The Bible, with all of its history, prophecy, and teachings? … We might as well say … Life is simple just do the best you can … And you will find yourself walking the streets of gold in heaven … Then we have to ask ourselves, do we think that the gift of life to humans could be cornerstones on something so simple? … Deception is rampant, especially in these last days …
So … There has to be the truth … Whether we choose to acknowledge it or not … There has to be the highest form of knowledge which is wisdom … There has to be a standard which is God’s Word … Without which … We would be lost in this chaotic mess … If we believe that perfection in this created universe [ Things like the perfect distance of the earth from the sun ] comes out of chaos then we did not pay attention in school and we are wrong-headed from the get-go … There must be intelligent design … Like it or not … Take Stephen Hawking, as brilliant as he was, he was just a man … A seeker like the rest of us …
I do not view myself as much more than average …I have chosen to be a lifelong student in many areas of study … World religions, Biblical studies, literature, science, … And why people believe as they do, are at the forefront …
One further thought … People quite easily and naturally say that the world is a mess … If the world is a mess it is only because people are a mess … We can’t get past ourselves GIGO … We really think we are something … And that we can control things like climate change, which we have only been studying in-depth for about a 100 years … So before we miss the boat we better get with the program … The program is coming whether you are I are ready or not …
