This is a message to friends and possibly foes … My desire is for this message to take the form of people sitting and talking in a casual setting, perhaps on a street corner, perhaps in a library, perhaps elsewhere … Yes that’s right, maybe even in a bar … Everything in moderation, all things are permissible but not all things are profitable … I have learned through the years that if the Holy Spirit convicts you ‘to do or not to do something’, you should follow that gut and you should be Okay … My advice would be to try to earnestly develop relationship and fellowship with our creator, and talk with Him like He’s sitting next to you as a close trusted friend … I understand the dark spirit of this age but for the life of me, I don’t know why there seem to be so many people condemning those that desire to have a close relationship with God,( maybe it’s because they are not so strong in their unbelief ?) condemning yet jamming their confusion down a believers throat … These being unaware, or not admitting God is our source …
Through the years I have sincerely learned that one of the keys to understanding ourselves in our stance with God, concerns the topic of righteousness … I am not gonna quote scripture, as I want this to be a street talk, as I mentioned … However, you can key in on certain words such as “Righteousness” and find scripture to support what I am going to say…
Now, let’s put some meat on this skeleton …Whether one is a believer or an unbeliever in Christ, or perhaps a follower of another religion or set of rules … A decision has been made … If you make no decision concerning the things of God, it is still a decision … It is a decision in the negative ...
Continuing, why does mankind have such a need for God and for His plan of salvation?
“God is Holy, we are not, or not yet totally … Now we come to a critical topic which is RIGHTEOUSNESS ...This is very important, God says that we have no righteousness in and of ourselves to offer Him, and that further, our righteousness is as ‘filthy rags’ … ( If you look closely at the two words ‘filthy rags’, in Hebrew, you will find it is referring to a “woman’s menstruation”) … So, doesn’t this tell us that our righteousness ( good deeds done in the flesh ) are as nothing to God … [ as far as determining a persons salvation] … This is where the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ enters the equation … Only Jesus could atone for our sins, we are either “in Him” or without Him … He was perfect and without Sin, literally and amazingly YHWH IN THE FLESH … THIS CLAIM FROM HIM, IS IN PART WHAT GOT HIM CRUCIFIED … This is the dividing point for everyone in their decision making, is this Christ, Who He says He is, or is He a fraud? … To me his resurrection addresses this issue … This, along with the personal manifestations and experiences I’ve had in my life … There is no denying His activity in my life …
I’m thinking of an old hymn that goes something like this … Rock of ages, cleft for me … The word ‘cleft’ means to split … It also means to cleave … Further the song is talking about Jesus being “split apart” on the cross and us hiding in Him … our only refuge …
Look around folks …Things are getting very ugly and we have to ask ourselves why? … We find our answers in God’s Word … IT’S TIME TO MAKE A STAND ... Frank … I judge no one, I’m just a messenger …
Have you ever thought why most of the prophets that God sent to Israel in ages past we’re mostly killed and hated? … I think you will find that it’s because the people didn’t want to hear the truth from God, they wanted to do, what they wanted to do, no matter what … Look around today, the same thing is happening, human nature doesn’t change … Only the Holy Spirit can change the dark heart of man … more later, maybe …
