REAL GOLD

The setting is the deep rural South of the 1950s East Coast, along the border of South Carolina and Georgia. Travelers through the state of South Carolina to Georgia were all too familiar with the “peculiar smell” that came from either industry or one of the Georgia rivers or other.

I will show you how God has gifted me to see most things, ( all in God’s creation, animal kingdom, and nature), as available to make us happy and bring us peace ; but we must slow down and observe to get beyond ourselves, our inherent selfishness to satisfy through things and people that are not so important ( our often neglecting that as life unfolds before us, we must not miss the holy revelation available) … As I sat on the bank of the slow winding misty S.C. summer river. I watched a farm boy of about twelve years old, with his beloved dog. It’s as if they were acting in some Star Wars play, the boy waving his stick, the dog wagging his tail smiling, both being perfectly content with the beauty of delivering “the gold of the moment.”

I could think of nothing more perfect or moving, my being touched to my creative soul, soaring as ‘their’ purposes in this life, through this little “play” being fulfilled, for this observer to behold … Frankie The Earthman … littleraventhepoet.blog…
