REAL GOLD

The setting is the deep rural South of the 1950s, East Coast along about South Carolina.

I will show you how God has taught me to see most things differently, intensely … I sat on the bank of the slow winding summer river. I watched a farm boy of about twelve old, with his beloved dog. It’s as if they were acting in some Star Wars play, the boy waving his stick, the dog wagging his tail smiling, both being perfectly content with the beauty of delivering the gold.

I could think of nothing more perfect or moving, one of ‘their’ purposes in this life, seemingly fulfilled, for this observer to behold … Frankie The Earthman … littleraventhepoet.blog …This post inspired by watching a great old movie called “Fhe Bright Road”…
