1st example of the deads whereabouts: When Christ was being crucified on the cross, one of the thieves was a believer. Christ said to him before he died: Today you will be with me in paradise, Not tomorrow, not 2000 years from now, but today. Like 23:43.
Our God is a God of the living, not the dead.
1st Peter 3:18 — Commentary: While in the tomb what did Christ do? … Where are the people that died from the beginning of time? … For Christ has once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God. ( not a hole in the ground) He was put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit. Man’s flesh dies, but his spirit does not. Man is a higher creature than flesh. 1st Peter 3:19 — He, Jesus, went and preached in paradise, reference Luke 16, the story of Lazarus and the Rich Man. Christ preached in paradise ( the prison side) so ‘everyone’ (Those that have died since Adam) had the same opportunity to hear the gospel. *Note you can’t be consciously dead and preached to, you can be spiritually dead and preached to. There is consciousness the other side of death.
God is fair. “A lot of people are running around today in ignorance, because they haven’t taken the time to study God’s Word; but they are quick to say that He is unjust and unfair. We need to learn to rise up to God’s level and the purity of His Word, not try to bring Him down to our elementary understanding. Quote by Frankie.
*1st Peter 4:4-5,6 … The gospel was preached also to them that were dead, that they might be judged and have the same opportunity as we in the flesh. We can be sure that many were saved and crossed over the ‘gulf’ to the saved side of paradise. Reference Luke 16, the story of the Rich man and Lazarus.
A closer look at Romans 8:29-30. ‘Justification’ of the Elect. This scripture in Romans 8 speaks of the “elect being chosen before the foundations of this world” Genesis 1vs 2, because these elect stood against Satan during the KATABOLE in the 1st earth age. ( Genesis 1 vs 1, this is called the “gap theory”, a whole age existed between Genesis 1 verse 1 and our current age Genesis 1 vs 2) [ explains a lot of presumed mysteries, ie: The fossil record, etc.] God has servants from the 1st earth age. They were justified because they stood against Satan in the rebellion. Therefore they were fit to be ‘elect’ in the 2nd earth age.
Note: Now pay special attention. If God chose the elect before foundations of the world when they had total recall ( of the first earth age) wouldn’t it be unfair for them to judge those currently in the flesh? I believe it is fair to say and supported by scripture, that we that are living in this 2nd earth age in the flesh, having our memories erased. Our memories were erased before being born in this flesh life, so that we can decide who we will serve, Satan or God. It was necessary for our memories to be erased about the 1st earth age, as to not be influenced by our decision that was then ( possibly serving Satan) in this flesh. This is pretty heavy duty, it takes some study to arrive at this. This should not be interpreted as a second chance. It is believed that God did not want to destroy those in the spirit that had rebelled against Him, and that this life in the flesh is is a final decision for who they will serve. To my knowledge no one has cornered the market on revelation and truth. Some deeper truths were delayed to be revealed in these end times. Never forget we see through a glass darkly.
