Picking up where we left off in lesson #1. Concerning man, ages and dispensations began with the restoration of the earth and the creation of Adam. ( Again a reminder, Genesis 1 verse 1 ( before we enter Genesis 1 vs 2 there was an entire earth age, ie: THE GAP THEORY. The current age ( 2 Peter 3:5) and dispensation we live in ( Remember the present dispensation only covers a part of the present age), Ephesians 3:2, 9) Scripture reveals and names a succeeding age and dispensation Mark 10:30; Ephesians 1:10; Hebrews 5: 6, please read for yourself.
Beyond, there is an unending array of future ages Ephesians 2: 7; 3:21; Revelation 1:6 and we find one or more dispensations occurring within God’s economy during these future ages.
I believe this current age we are living in has been incorrectly called “The Church Age.” This age we currently live in began long before the Church was brought into existence, it will continue for at least 7 years following the time when the church is removed from the Earth, during what is called the Tribulation Period. The existence of the Church during this present age has more to do with a dispensation. “The fellowship [dispensation] of the mystery.” You can study for yourself “the mystery” in Ephesians and Colossians.
