My childhood, friends and family, loved one’s gathered around the dinner table … These gatherings seemed to die out in the late sixties in my teenage years, I miss them terribly.
Times change, people change, life speeds up way too fast, and goes by way too fast. This Thanksgiving, as we gathered, sitting around the table, my wife, son, and dog at our feet, I was reminded of how important those times were and can be.
I think of my daughter in South Carolina and wish we could be together. I think of past friends and wish we could be together also. It really concerns me that in our culture today we spend most of our time staring at our phones. Something beautiful has been lost, and will probably never be regained.
There is an event that a lot of people are probably unaware of, that will take place at a future date in heaven. It is called “The marriage supper of the lamb.” Apparently God thinks these gatherings around tables, with friends, family, and loved ones, is also of crucial importance. Frankie The Earthman.
