Sheila Jackson Lee is representative for Texas’ 18th Congressional district. She wants to introduce legislation regarding hate speech. She wants to make hate speech a crime. The question has to be: Who decides what hates speech is? How would that work? This, of course, raises First Amendment concerns. It seems to revolve around white people speaking against all people of any other skin color.
