CAN HUMANS DIE TWICE?

Revelation 2: 9 -11– The Church at Smyrna

I know your works, tribulation, and poverty ( but you are rich), and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. Do not fear any of these things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you in prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death (Revelation 2:9-11).

So, obviously, the first death is the death of the body, but do you know of the second death? The second death comes from unbelief in God’s son, Jesus. Believers are resurrected first, to participate in the *thousand year reign of Christ. Unbelievers are resurrected at the end of the *Millenium, to be judged at the GREAT WHITE THRONE JUDGMENT. This is where eternal separation from God for eternity happens. Note: Believers, at the beginning of the thousand year reign of Christ, will go to judgment, but salvation is not the issue, ‘works’ is the issue. ( Works being what a believer did after salvation) Again, it will be for works only. It is called the Bema Judgment seat. God’s word says “not to fear the first death but the second”, because this will mean eternal separation from God in the lake of fire. Also note this, the lake of fire was originally made for Satan, but mankind became qualified for the lake of fire because of the fall in the garden of Eden, and the disobedience to God, which led to death, both physically and spiritually eventually.
