Morning Has Broken
Morning has broken like the first morning Blackbird has spoken like the first bird Praise for the singing, praise for the morning Praise for them springing fresh from the world
Sweet the rains new fall, sunlit from Heaven Like the first dew fall on the first grass Praise for the sweetness of the wet garden Sprung in completeness where His feet pass
Mine is the sunlight, mine is the morning Born of the one light, Eden saw play Praise with elation, praise every morning God’s recreation of the new day
Morning has broken like the first morning Blackbird has spoken like the first bird Praise for the singing, praise for the morning Praise for them springing fresh from the world – Cat Stevens – Teaser and The Firecats, 1971.
Hallelujah! A lot of the world’s problems could be solved if people could learn to “be still and know that there is a God.” This is the clarion call of my heart. People learn to put down your phones and ipads sometimes, no, a lot of the time. I would suggest seeking to hear God’s “still small voice.” Leave the chaos, deception, crime, and spirit of lawlessness of our age behind. God wants to bathe us in his peace that passes all understanding. Note: When God says, desire to hear “His still small voice,” He does not necessarily mean it will be audible, but it will be a prompting, a nudging, a confidence in your spirit.
