John, in the book of Revelation, in his letter to Thyatira, wrote, “I gave her time to repent.” The church in Thyatira was allowing a prophetess, Jezebel to lead people astray in worshiping other idols and sexual misconduct.
Our God is long-suffering and takes no joy in discipline. He would much rather we turned to Him on our own accord after recognizing our sin and repenting. However, there is a point when God will eventually say, ” That’s enough.” You have had time. I have given you many opportunities to change your attitudes and actions, but you have refused. Therefore, this is what I am about to do.”
You do not want to get to that place in your life. God is holding out forgiveness to you no matter what you have done or what you are doing. Make the change now. Let Him cleanse you of your sin. We must remember this: To the believer, the Holy Spirit is a warm guiding Gentleman. To the unbeliever that continues in unbelief, He is a consuming fire. God is either your advocate or judge. Do not blame God for your choices. Comment by Frankie The Earthman.
