John, in the book of Revelation, in his letter to Thyatira, wrote, “I gave her time to repent.” The church in Thyatira was allowing a prophetess, Jezebel to lead people astray in worshiping other idols and sexual misconduct.
Our God is long-suffering and takes no joy in discipline. He would much rather we turned to Him on our own accord after recognizing our sin and repenting. However, there is a point when God will eventually say, ” That’s enough.” You have had time. I have given you many opportunities to change your attitudes and actions, but you have refused. Therefore, this is what I am about to do.”
You do not want to get to that place in your life. God is holding out forgiveness to you no matter what you have done or what you are doing. Make the change now. Let Him cleanse you of your sin. Put yourself on the path of righteousness, hope, and joy. Lesson from Amir Tsarfati’s book– REVEALING REVELATION- PGS 63 & 64.
