“LAZARUS, COME FORTH.”

Jesus spoke with a loud and authoritative voice. “Lazarus, come forth.” What if Jesus had said, ” Come forth.” Well, it is said that because of Jesus’ authority, all of the dead would have come forth. So, Jesus called Lazarus specifically.

So what was going on here? Jesus was commanding the spirit / soul of Lazarus to leave paradise, (Hades), which was then ‘below the earth’ to return to his four day old ‘dead body’ and then come out of the tomb. ( There is a lot going on here. Please read the whole story for yourself.) I will say this story should give all believers great hope, for it is prophetic. God will soon call all believers to their resurrected bodies. Unbelievers are called later. I won’t get into that right now. I don’t know about anyone else, but I want to know a loving God who has this kind of power. It can not be compared to the power obtained by mere mortals. Mere mortals can not control their power.
