A HORRIBLE ADDICTION

Cell phones : Can’t live with them can’t live without them?

I certainly would like to live without my cell phone. But in this age and this culture, it’s damn near impossible. Our social lives can be dependent on our phones, fast track to our finances can depend on our phones. The latest news and world events can depend on our phones. Life and death situations can depend on our phones. I am a blogger so my blogging certainly depends on my phone.

So, having mentioned the necessity and importance of our phones, I would like to say this: Sometimes I would like to wind up like Stephen Strasburg and throw my phone a 100 miles an hour at the nearest, biggest Oak tree. What a joy it would be to watch it shatter into 1000 pieces. Other times, I would like to bury it somewhere and never see it again. Other times, I would like to hit it with a sledgehammer. Then I stop and realize how dependent I can be on my phone. However, I think there is an answer. There is an old saying that most things are okay, but in moderation. Frankie The Earthman.

I want to hide my phone in this tree and fill it with concrete, but I won’t, not yet.
